The Buck Tracker was originally launched in 2000 by Randy and Tara-Lynn Barks, editors of Deer Tracking Magazine. The latest version of the Buck Tracker, launched in 2005 and developed in partnership with Prism Technologies, has brought new features, and new value, for deer farmers across North America to promote their bucks. Some of the new features include:

About Deer Tracking

Deer Tracking Magazine is dedicated to the education and promotion of the whitetail and Mule Deer farming industry. In fact it is the only magazine of its kind devoted entirely to whitetail and mule deer. Deer Tracking began in 1999 as “Tracking the Industry…” (a four page newsletter), but soon grew quickly. Over the last 6 years we have evolved into “Deer Tracking”, which has become a representation of a unified Canadian deer farming industry.

We are deer farmers ourselves and believed that there was a shortage of “deer” information and education for the average deer farmer. So we set out to write articles, call on experts and experienced producers to better educate the industry through articles of interest to deer farmers, hunters, trophy ranchers and service industries. We also concentrate on promoting an industry that we believe in, through advertising both online and in print, including The Buck Tracker. We are in the business of helping you market. We support those who supply service and quality and we give our pledge to give only our best through our publication.
